My interest and passion in genealogy was really sparked off 20 years ago by my Fathers interest in it.

Senior Genealogist

I loved going to the records offices with my Father and Mother when I was younger and I really enjoyed looking through the old books and records particularly the wills, they tell you such a lot about people.
The pleasure of looking at old books and historical records has obviously remained with me to this day, hence my decision to become a professional genealogist.

By profession I am a freelance Information Technology Programme Test Manager which requires an organised and analytical mindset and certainly a great deal of tenacity, all this being well suited to Genealogical research.

I have spent 10 years off and on researching my Husband’s family line direct and indirect, paternal and maternal. Our family line paternal has been researched back to 1700 and the maternal has now been researched back to 1590 and these are still ongoing there is always more to find if you want to.
I have also assisted others with their research particularly people in the USA searching for their European roots.

Consultant Genealogist

My father started researching our family line over 30 years ago and he also gave lectures and ran evening courses on Genealogy at our local college, long before researching your family tree became so universally popular.

Over the years he has spent time assisting other people to get started and many others with their search for family records.

Find Your Lineage - Consultant Genealogist

In the early days he had to find the information the hard way or perhaps fun way - visiting places and getting copies of the parish records, trawling through microfiche and documents in records offices and hunting Gravestones down in various Cemeteries across the country.

When he started there were no records available on-line. Although we do use data sites on the internet, much of the research we carry out still has to be done the "fun way".
